Generations of Generosity
The Carson Family Boys & Girls Club Dedication
South Toledo has a new Boys & Girls Club thanks to the vision of community supporters, and the late Sam & Alice Carson. The Carson Family Boys & Girls Club was dedicated on March 23, 2012 as the second Boys & Girls Club located within a Toledo Public School. Present at the dedication were the members of the Carson family, whose $1 million investment made this Club possible. Late trustee and past board president, Sam Carson believed in the mission and future of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo, and instilled that vision within his family. The Carson’s have been longtime supporters of the Clubs and founded the Carson Scholarship program which has assisted 29 youth with college since it started in 1989. Speaking on behalf of the family, Russ Carson commented that his parents would be immensely proud with the new Club that would carry on their legacy.

This state of the art Club includes over 15,000 sq. ft. of brightly colored space ideal for children. Areas used by the Club include a gym, art room, library, cadet room, and junior games room outfitted with pool tables and ping pong tables.
