Munger lauded as Ohio Boys & Girls Clubs
Board Volunteer of the Year

TOLEDO – David Munger, who joined the Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo Board of Trustees in 2002, is the Ohio Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs Board Volunteer of the Year.

The Ohio Alliance announced the award during its annual meeting in Columbus. The honor is presented annually to a Boys & Girls Clubs board member in Ohio for outstanding service and dedication to youth.

“Through his leadership, dedication and unwavering belief in the power of mentorship, David Munger has been an invaluable asset to the Boys & Girls Clubs,” said Jim Ravas, president and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo. “His contributions have strengthened the Club, inspired youth and advanced the Boys & Girls Clubs of America movement.”

Munger, principal architect at Munger, Munger + Associates, is a longtime member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo infrastructure and safety committees. Most recently, Munger oversaw the $2.1 million design and renovation of the Homer Hanham Boys & Girls Club, which serves as the local organization’s administrative headquarters.

In June, Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo honored Munger with its Echo Award for his contributions to the organization and its members.
