Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo Awarded
Taco Bell Foundation Grant

TOLEDO – Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo is proud to announce it is a recipient of a 2025 Community Grant from the Taco Bell Foundation to support its teen programming across its nine Clubs.

Representatives from Taco Bell presented a check to the Clubs and toured the Homer Homer Hanham Boys & Girls Clubs.

The Taco Bell Foundation awarded a record-breaking $28 million in Community Grants this year to almost 500 nonprofit organizations nationwide. The Community Grants program is designed to uplift youth in the communities of its fans and employees. True to the brand’s spirit, the Taco Bell Foundation supports nonprofits that think differently and take bold approaches to creating new opportunities for young people.

“We believe that empowering young people is one of the most meaningful ways we can invest in the future,” said Lisa Lane Cardin, executive director of the Taco Bell Foundation. “This record investment is a testament to the power of community-driven change and the limitless potential that exists when we remove barriers and open doors.”

This grant allows Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo to expand programming offerings for Toledo’s teens and continue the tradition of hosting a Christmas Party for our older members.

In 2024, Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo served almost 2,500 teens across Toledo, providing programming in workforce readiness, academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles.

The organization has nine Clubs across Toledo and serves almost 4,000 members aged 7 through high school graduation annually. The Club, James A. Huber Teen Center, opened at Rogers High School in 2023, becoming the first of its kind in Toledo. The teens-only Club offers a safe space for self-expression, collaboration, and future preparation, while developing essential skills.
